Privacy & cookies
Last updated: June 2026
This notice explains what personal data we collect when you use this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. It also explains how we use cookies and analytics. We’ve tried to write it in plain English rather than legalese.
Who we are
M-Tech Labs AI is a trading name of M-Tech Systems Ltd, a company registered in England (no. 04843249) whose registered office is at Martello House, Edward Road, Eastbourne, East Sussex, BN23 8AS. For the personal data described in this notice, M-Tech Systems Ltd is the data controller.
If you have any question about your data or this notice, contact us at hello@mtechlabs.ai or on 01323 404040.
The information we collect
When you contact us.If you fill in our contact form we collect your name, your organisation (if you give it), your email address and the message you write. We use this to respond to your enquiry and to follow up about the work you’ve described.
When you use Ai/ssessor (our free AI readiness check). The tool is a short conversation, and we store what you type during it so we can score your readiness and produce your report. To send you that report we ask for your name, work email, company and role (a phone number is optional), and we record whether you opted in to hear more from us. Your responses are processed by our AI provider to generate the conversation and the written report.
Automatically, when you browse.Like most websites, we collect standard analytics information about how the site is used — for example pages viewed, approximate location (country/region), and the type of device and browser. We use Google Analytics for this, configured to respect your privacy: IP addresses are anonymised, Google Signals is switched off, and ad personalisation is switched off. See Cookies & analytics below.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To respond to enquiries and provide what you asked for— our legitimate interests in answering you, and taking steps at your request before any contract.
- To produce and send your Ai/ssessor report and follow up on it— our legitimate interests in helping you act on the result. Where we send you wider marketing, we rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To understand and improve the site— analytics, on the basis described under Cookies below.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your personal data. We do use a small number of trusted suppliers who process data on our behalf, under contracts that require them to protect it and only use it on our instructions:
- Vercel— hosting and content delivery for this website.
- Google (Analytics)— website usage analytics.
- Resend— delivery of emails (for example, your Ai/ssessor report and our reply to your enquiry).
- Anthropic— the AI model that powers the Ai/ssessor conversation and report.
- Neon— the secure database where Ai/ssessor sessions are stored.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, property or safety.
International transfers
Some of those suppliers are based outside the UK, including in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards — such as UK adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, or Standard Contractual Clauses — so that it stays protected to UK standards.
How long we keep it
We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, after which we delete or anonymise it. As a guide, enquiry correspondence is kept for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, and Ai/ssessor records are kept while there’s a live reason to follow up and reviewed periodically thereafter. Anonymous analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics settings.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- ask us to delete data, or to restrict how we use it;
- object to processing based on our legitimate interests;
- ask for your data to be ported to another provider; and
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on it.
To exercise any of these, email hello@mtechlabs.ai. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, though we’d appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Cookies & analytics
A cookie is a small file a website stores on your device. We use cookies and similar technologies for two purposes:
- Strictly necessary— the basics needed to serve the site securely and reliably. These don’t track you and can’t be switched off.
- Analytics (non-essential)— Google Analytics, which helps us understand how the site is used so we can improve it. We run it in a privacy-respecting configuration (IP anonymisation on, Google Signals and ad personalisation off), and we don’t use it to advertise to you or to build a cross-site profile.
You can stop analytics cookies at any time using your browser settings, or by installing Google’s official Analytics opt-out add-on. Turning them off won’t affect how the site works for you.
